Family of 3 Year Old Injured in Accidental Shooting Wants Harsher Penalties

The mother and grandparents of 3 year old Michael Holzworth who shot himself in the face with his father's unsecured and loaded gun want tougher penalties for situations like these involving negligence and irresponsibility.

The boy's father was charged with reckless endangerment, a gross misdemeanor, but family members are pushing for a harsher penalty.

The day before the shooting, Michael's grandparents dropped off gun locks to the family's home in Washington State after noticing that the father repeatedly left his guns out. In response he simply told them, "Michael won't touch it." #ItsNoAccident
