Nearly Half of Children in the United States Suffer from an Adverse Childhood Experience

A study from Hopkins' Bloomberg School last week found that nearly half of all children in the United States are exposed to at least one social or family experience that can lead to traumatic stress and endanger their healthy development."

These experiences are often called Adverse Childhood Experiences, and have long-term, negative effects on the health and well-being of children.
